HR Advisor (m/f) is our online shopping marketplace in Germany. We started life as Tradoria and joined Rakuten family in 2011, launching in January 2012. Rakuten Deutschland is based in Bamberg and Berlin, also hosting part of European IT, Finance, HR, Marketing and operational functions. We are searching for our office in Berlin for an:

HR Advisor (m/f)             


  • To provide generalist support and advice across all areas of human resource management, from recruitment, induction, performance management, compensation, training and development.
  • Recruitment and Transfers– to deliver effective recruitment (direct sourcing of candidates, pre-screening interviews, recruitment administration)
  • Employee Relations – to provide advice and guidance on all issues relating to ER
  • Compensation and Benefits – to analyze market data and advice on compensation and benefit matters; advice on basic taxation and social security contribution matters and calculate preliminary net salary estimates for employment/transfer offers.
  • Training and Development – to administer staff training requests.
  • Employee Information – to continually review current mechanisms and information held, including personnel files
  • Reporting – to provide management reporting, including recruitment reporting and other ad hoc reporting to the Head of HR and other Managers as and when required.
  • Participate in HR projects as required.


  • University degree required, or related apprenticeship, preferably in HR or Business Administration.
  • 2-3 years post qualification experience in a fast-moving and dynamic organization, having generalist responsibility for a business unit or business area. Experience in e-commerce is an advantage.
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English.
  • Excellent understanding of the local Employment Market.
  • Great focus on delivering excellent service to internal customers and candidates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective influencing & negotiation skill.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast growth and changing environment.
  • Excellent IT literacy skills (including Office, Excel and Outlook), experience of using spreadsheets and HR management systems.
  • Experience using common recruiting tools and jobboards (such as LinkedIn, Monster, etc.).
