UI/UX Designer (m/f)

Rakuten.de is our online shopping marketplace in Germany. We started life as Tradoria and joined Rakuten family in 2011, launching Rakuten.de in January 2012. Rakuten Deutschland is based in Bamberg and Berlin, also hosting part of European IT, Finance, HR, Marketing and operational functions. We are searching for our office in Berlin for an:

UI/UX Designer  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute together with the rest of the design team to provide best on-site experience to our customers.
  • Collaborate with other team members and engage proactively with them (Marketing, SEO, Development Unit, Product Managers…)
  • Guide design decisions through data analysis
  • Communicate your work through mock-ups and pixel perfect designs
  • Provide hands-on solutions
  • Code your own HTML and CSS code

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in interaction design or related field
  • Passion for designing excellent experiences
  • At least 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in user-centred design
  • Strong portfolio of interaction and visual design
  • Ability to think out of the box to conceptualize best-in-market marketing campaigns and drive them until the final release
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent level in English; German not needed
